The Ibanez 2016 TCM50 Electro Acoustic Guitar hails from the Talman range which is appealing to those who may prefer to play an electric guitar but would like to recreate an acoustic timbre simultaneously. The Talman TCM50 successfully combines features of these two guitar types so that you can achieve a wide range of tones without compromising on great playability. A significant aspect of the Talman TCM50 is the double cutaway body which allows you to effortlessly glide further up the frets.

TALMAN DOUBLE CUTAWAY BODY

The TCM50 model features the innovative double cutaway Talman body shape. This allows you to reach the upper frets, just like you often would on an electric guitar, but with the capacity to produce exquisite acoustic tones. To further enhance your sound output, the TCM50 model has a figured ash top in a brand new Transparent Black Sunburst finish, showing off the naturally occurring patterns in the wood. This particular tonewood offers solid lows to sweet highs, and works well with the mahogany back and sides.

Firmly joined to the body is a mahogany neck which has a classic, comfortable playing feel. Married to the neck is a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard, decorated with dot inlays to guide you along the frets with confidence.

IBANEZ AEQ200M PREAMP

The Talman TCM50 is equipped with the AEQ200M preamp which is powered by an Ibanez AP2 Magnetic pickup in order to fluently translate the natural acoustic resonance of every note when you play through an amplifying device. The preamp is easy to control thanks to a 2-band EQ for treble and bass. There is also a handy low battery status indicator light.

HARDWARE AND FINISH

Chrome die-cast tuners are fitted to the headstock to ensure each note is tuned accurately. Innovative Ibanez Advantage Bridge Pins hold the strings in tact beneath the rosewood bridge, and these pins are much easier to take out and put back in than a standard bridge pin when it's time to change your strings. These have a bulb-shaped end thus making it easier to grip, and once you put the pins back in they will keep each string in place securely. The new Transparent Black Sunburst finish is accompanied by a pickguard to protect against scratches.
